Making Appointments

Who do I need to see?

You do not always need to see the doctor when you are unwell. To make sure you see the right clinician, our reception team will always ask you what you need an appointment for.

Our Nurses are trained to deal with issues such as:

  • Contraception
  • Colds, flu, and coughs
  • UTIs
  • Asthma
  • Ear pain and ear infections
  • Nose problems
  • Minor injuries
  • Period problems
  • Rashes

There is a lot more they can help you with, so if you are unsure, please ask our reception team.

If you do need to see a GP routinely (non urgent) then you will be added to the list for an appointment, you will then be sent a link in the next few weeks from your initial contact which will allow you to book yourself in for an appointment in a further 2 weeks time. The link allows you to choose a time and date that suits you and eliminates the needs to keep calling us back to find an appointment that suits you.

Our reception team are trained in care navigation and will be able to identify if you need an urgent appointment.

How do I register with a GP Online Service?

You can set up an account yourself with the NHS App – the app can verify your identity without you coming into the surgery. If you are struggling to do this yourself please come into either surgery to speak with a member of the reception team who will be happy to help.

By telephone on 01904 754900

Our surgeries are open until 8am – 8pm Mon to Thurs and 6pm on Fridays, as well as Saturday mornings.

We get more than 90 calls an hour each morning but hardly any after 6pm, so that’s a good time to call us if you can.
